Golden Festivals !


Ladku Mavshi has sold 12 kg of Marigold so far, the yellow gold in her farm is breathtakingly beautiful...


Many such marginal farmers of Palghar, Dahanu and Wada are pleased that their festivals this year were spent happily as they got hard cash in their hands for the first time!


Farmers cultivate paddy on rainwater during the Kharif season, but when there are no other means of employment, a second crop can provide modest income. In order to inculcate this thought, under the Gram Vikas Initiative of Seva Sahyog Foundation, Marigold planting was piloted with 67 farmers of Palghar, Wada, Dahanu talukas in 2022 Kharif season.


As a result of guidance & hand-holding by domain experts, these farmers grew a total of 2000 kg of Marigolds and earned more than Rs. 1.10 lakhs during Dussehra, Diwali and celebrated the festival happily.


"Next year we will plant five times Marigold !"

This confidence of farmers is satisfying outcome of continuous efforts of our dedicated

karyakartas !

सोनेरी  दसरा, दिवाळी!


लाडकू मावशीने आतापर्यंत १२ किलो झेंडू विक्री केली, तिच्या शेतातील पिवळं सोनं डोळ्याचं पारणं फेडणारं आहे…

अशा कितीतरी पालघर, डहाणू व वाडा जिल्ह्यातील शेतकऱ्यांची यावर्षीची दिवाळी प्रथमच नगदी रक्कम मिळाल्याने आनंदात पार पडली,याचं समाधान वाटतय !


शेतकरी खरीप हंगामात पावसाच्या पाण्यावर भात लागवड करतात, पण जेव्हा इतर काही रोजगाराची साधने नसतात, तेव्हा दुसरे पीक माफक आर्थिक उत्पन्न मिळवून देऊ शकते. नेमका हाच विचार रुजवण्यासाठी सेवा सहयोग फाऊंडेशनच्या ग्राम विकास प्रकल्पांतर्गत झेंडू लागवड उपक्रमाचा प्रयोग सन २०२२ च्या खरीप हंगामात पालघर, वाडा, डहाणू तालुक्यातील ६७ शेतकऱ्यांसोबत करण्यात आला.


संस्थेमार्फत दिलेल्या अचूक मार्गदर्शनामुळे या शेतकऱ्यांनी एकूण दोन हजार किलो झेंडू पिकवून एक लाख दहा हजारापेक्षा अधिक आर्थिक उत्पन्न या दसरा दिवाळी दरम्यान मिळवले आणि सण खुशीत साजरे केले.


पुढल्या वर्षी पाचपट झेंडू लागवड करु! हा शेतकऱ्यांचा विश्वास प्रगट होतोय आपल्या अथक प्रयोगशील सेवायज्ञातून!!!
