Animal cell
Cellular structure is a major characteristic of all living
organisms. Cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living
organisms.
Various components
are present in the cells to carry out the life activities of living
organisms. These elements are called organelles.
.
An animal cell is characterized by having a cell membrane
instead of a cell wall, which is the outermost covering of the animal cell.
Membrane is a kind of thin covering which is very fragile,
flexible
Animal cell mainly consists of organelles like cell
membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus,
mitochondria, vacuole etc.
Animal cells do not contain chloroplast.
These cells are formed by intercalation of various
organelles formed with the help of membranes.
Vacuoles are small in size in animal cells.
