FLOATING PENCIL


 

A levitating pencil has two magnets on the pencil and four magnets below on the board.​

 

A magnet has two poles. North Pole and South Pole​

 

Two like poles repel each other.​

 

Two opposite poles attract each other.​

 

As the lower magnet repels the magnet on the pencil, the pencil floats due to this repelling force. ​
