EVERY DROP OF MATTERS...

Seva Sahayog Foundation, realising the gravity of fundamental issue of "WATER in sustainable development of economy, is lending a firm helping hand to our underprivileged brethren in Mulshi, Thane, Wada, Palghar, Mumbai and Pune districts through many initiatives...

1. JALKUND

In Pune, Wada, Safale, Penand, Boisar and Mulshi, 62 jalkunds (water tanks) of 10,000 liters capacity each have been constructed. A total of 6,30,000 liters of water is made available through 62 reservoirs and the beneficiary farmers will be able to harvest seasonal and cash crops twice a year.

2.CCT 

(CONTINUOUS CONTOUR TRENCHES) are done in Safale, Penand village. Due to the horizontal ditches constructed on an experimental basis in an area of about one acre, the water will seep into the ground drop by drop and the ground water level will increase.

3. STONE EMBANKMENT

In Penand, we have recently constructed stone dams at 5 places on the drains and banks, thus stopping the soil erosion and allowing the running water to be intercepted and infiltrated into the soil.

4. FIELD WELL

Five farm wells have been constructed in Penand village in June 2022. A total of 22 families will be able to farm in all three seasons.

5. RAIN WATER HARVESTING

So far, we have implemented this in a total of 12 schools  in Palghar and Raigad districts. The number of beneficiary students and teachers is 9074. 

6. DRIP IRRIGATION 50 farmers connected with us from various rural areas are using Drip Irrigation system in agriculture due to the training in our workshops, which is believed to save nearly 80% of water.

7. SINKHOLES

15 families in Penand, Wada, Boisar areas have prepared absorption pits under our guidance. This will contribute to increasing the underground water level by percolating 11 lakh liters of waste water into the ground every year.

8. NIRANJALI

Recognizing the need for clean water in urban and rural areas, a total of 575 schools have been given Water Purifiers so far, and this year, another 500 schools will be given water purifiers. The number of beneficiaries of this initiative so far is 3.5 lakh.

जलनियोजन-जलसंवर्धन

सेवा सहयोग फाउंडेशन  "पाणी" या मूलभूत विषयावर निरंतर काम करतेय. अतिशय उत्स्फूर्त अशा लोकसहभागातून  मुळशी,ठाणे ,वाडा,पालघर,

मुंबई व पुणे येथे आपले विविध उपक्रम सुरू आहेत. 

१. जलकुंड 

पुणे, वाडा, सफाळे, पेनंद बोईसर, मुळशी या भागात प्रत्येकी दहा हजार लिटर क्षमतेची ६२ जलकुंडे बांधण्यात आली आहेत.  एकूण ६२ जलकुंडाच्या माध्यमातून ६,३०,००० लिटर पाणी उपलब्ध आहे,ज्यामुळे लाभार्थी शेतकरी वर्षभरात दुबार हंगामी व नगदी पिके घेऊ शकतील.

२. समतल चर

 सफाळे पेनंद गावात CCT(  सलग समतल चर ) करण्यात आली आहे. साधारण एक एकर एरिया मध्ये  प्रायोगिक तत्वावर बांधलेल्या समतल चरांमुळे पाण्याचा थेंब न थेंब जमिनीत जिरेल व भूजलपातळी वाढेल.

३. दगडी बंधारे 

पेनंद मध्ये आपण नुकतेच ५ ठिकाणी नाल्यावर,ओढ्यावर दगडी बंधारे बांधलेत, त्यामुळे मातीची धूप थांबते व धावणारे पाणी अडवून जमिनीत जिरवणे शक्य होते. 

४. शेतविहिरी

पेनंद गावात पाच शेत विहिरी जून २०२२ मध्ये निर्माण केल्या आहेत.एकूण २२ कुटुंबांना यामुळे तिन्ही हंगामात शेती करता येणार आहे.

५. रेन वॉटर हार्वेस्टिंग

पालघर व रायगड जिल्ह्यातील एकूण १२ शाळांमधे हा उपक्रम आतापर्यंत आपण राबवला आहे. यामधील लाभार्थी विद्यार्थी व शिक्षक संख्या ९०७४ अशी आहे.

६. ठिबक सिंचन

विविध ग्रामीण भागातील आपल्याशी जोडलेले ५० वर शेतकरी आपल्या कार्यशाळेत प्रशिक्षणामुळे ठिबक सिंचन पद्धतीचा शेतीमध्ये वापर करताहेत, ज्यामुळे जवळपास ८० % पाणीबचत होईल असा विश्वास आहे.

७. शोषखड्डे

पेनंद, वाडा,बोईसर या भागांमधील १५ कुटुंबांनी आपल्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली शोषखड्डे तयार केलेत यामुळे दरवर्षी ११लाख लिटर सांडपाणी जमिनीत मुरवले जाऊन भूगर्भ जलपातळी वाढण्यास हातभार लागेल.

८. निरांजली उपक्रम

  शहरी व ग्रामीण भागातील शुद्ध पाण्याची गरज ओळखून एकंदर ५७५ शाळांना आजवर Water Purifiers देण्यात आले आहेत, तसेच या वर्षीही अजून ५०० शाळांना देण्यात येतील.या उपक्रमातील आजवरच्या लाभार्थींची संख्या ३.५ लक्ष इतकी आहे.
