Ohm’s law 


 

• Georg Simon Ohm, a German physicist, established a rule for measuring the resistance of an electric conductor.​

• The current flowing through a conductor is proportional to the potential difference between the two ends of that conductor.​

• According to this rule​

 I =V/R​

         V= Potential difference between two ends of the conductor​

          I= Current flowing in the conductor​

          R= Resistivity of the conductor​

 • Potential changes are measured in volts and electric current in amperes​

• SI unit of resistance is Ohm​
