Persistence of vision
We see the object as the image
of the object is formed on the retina of our eye.
As long as the object is in
front of the eye, its image is on the visual screen. As soon as the object is
removed, the image also disappears.
In the case of our eyes, the
impact of the image on the retina remains for up to 1/16 second after the
object is removed.
The sensation above the retina
persists for some time, this effect is called Persistence of vision
Persistence of vision is the
reason why when we rotate the image in this device, it looks like a parrot is
inside the cage.
