Persistence of vision​


 

We see the object as the image of the object is formed on the retina of our eye.​

 

As long as the object is in front of the eye, its image is on the visual screen. As soon as the object is removed, the image also disappears.​

 

In the case of our eyes, the impact of the image on the retina remains for up to 1/16 second after the object is removed.​

 

The sensation above the retina persists for some time, this effect is called Persistence of vision​

 

Persistence of vision is the reason why when we rotate the image in this device, it looks like a parrot is inside the cage.​
