Xylophone​


 

• An object needs to 'vibrate' to produce sound.​

 

• Sound is a pressure wave.​

 

• Sound waves travel through different mediums at different speeds.​

 

• Sound is transmitted through a solid liquid or gas.​

 

• Airborne vibrations travel through the air and exert pressure on our ears and thus we hear sound.​

 

• When the metal bars of the xylophone are struck with a hard rubber rod, the xylophone produces a sound.​

 

• The sound of each bar is determined by bar length.​

 

• The sound coming from the xylophone is like seven notes in music. Like sa re ga ma pa da ni ​
