The Brain
Brain – It is a complex organ in the body. This organ is
located inside the skull in the head.
All voluntary and involuntary activities of the body are
controlled by the brain.
The left side of the human brain controls the right side of
the body.
In addition, the left side of the brain controls our
communication, writing and rational thinking
while the right side controls our artistic abilities.
An adult human brain weighs about 1300 to 1400 grams and is
made up of about 100 billion neurons.
Cerebrum-- It is the largest part of the brain and it is
made up of two cerebral hemispheres. The outer surface of the cerebellum is
composed of irregular rings and notches. This increases the surface area of
the brain and provides more space for nerve cells.
Cerebellum-- It is a small part of the brain, located at the
back of the cranial cavity (skull) and below the cerebrum. Its surface is in
the form of ridges and ridges instead of curves.
Medulla oblongata-- It is the most terminal part of the
brain and has two triangular shaped structures on its upper side. They are
called pyramids. Its posterior part further transforms into the spinal cord.
