Introduction: 

The DialogueNEXT Conference series was initiated by the World Food Prize Foundation in collaboration with key partners:

  • CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center)

  • Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA)

  • Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

The inaugural event took place on March 26, 2024, at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. This launch coincided with International Women’s History Month and the 110th birth anniversary of Dr. Norman Borlaug, the founder of the World Food Prize Foundation. The event centered around the theme “Seeds of Equity: Women Driving Growth and Innovation in Agriculture”, highlighting the critical role of women in global food security (World Food Prize).

Following the inaugural event, DialogueNEXT continued with a session in Texcoco, Mexico, on July 10–11, 2024, focusing on “Nurturing Farmer Resilience” (CIMMYT).

The 2025 DialogueNEXT Conference was held on September 8–9, 2025, at the ICAR Convention Centre in New Delhi, India, under the theme “Take it to the Farmer”. This event emphasized the importance of ensuring that transformative agricultural solutions reach farmers, particularly across the Global South (World Food Prize).

Each DialogueNEXT event is part of a series tracing Dr. Borlaug’s international footsteps and revisiting landmarks preserving his legacy, aiming to address contemporary global challenges in food security (World Food Prize).
