The Heart

Image
Heart is an organ found in all animals with circulatory system   Normally the human heart beats 72 times per minute   The average weight of the heart is 250-300 grams in females and 300-350 grams in males.   Right side contains impure blood and left side contains pure blood. The heart is constantly contracting and expanding.   The heart is located almost in the center of the ribcage.   Our heart is surrounded by a double layer of pericardium. Between these two layers of the pericardium is a fluid, protecting the heart from friction and shock.   The human heart is a muscular, fleshy organ. The heart is made up of cardiac muscle.   Cardiac muscles are involuntary. Their contraction and relaxation takes place in a fixed rhythm. This is called heartbeat.   The inner vertical membrane of the heart divides it into two parts, left and right. These parts fall into two compartments. Thus the heart has four cha...

The Brain

Image
Brain – It is a complex organ in the body. This organ is located inside the skull in the head.   All voluntary and involuntary activities of the body are controlled by the brain.   The left side of the human brain controls the right side of the body.   In addition, the left side of the brain controls our communication, writing and rational thinking   while the right side controls our artistic abilities.   An adult human brain weighs about 1300 to 1400 grams and is made up of about 100 billion neurons.   Cerebrum-- It is the largest part of the brain and it is made up of two cerebral hemispheres. The outer surface of the cerebellum is composed of irregular rings and notches. This increases the surface area of the brain and provides more space for nerve cells.   Cerebellum-- It is a small part of the brain, located at the back of the cranial cavity (skull) and below the cerebrum. Its surface is in the form of r...

The Ear

Image
  • Ear plays a very important role in human life. It balances the body along with hearing   • Human ear has three parts: outer ear, middle ear, inner ear   • As sound waves fall on the ear, the eardrum vibrates and the vibrations are converted into electrical waves. They travel to the brain via the auditory nerve.   • Pinna collects the sound waves and transmits them from the cochlear tube to the middle ear cavity. A valve-like structure allows sound to reach the middle ear.   • Middle Ear: There is a thin membrane in the cavity of the middle ear. When compression in the medium is reached, it increases the pressure outside the membrane and pushes the eardrum inward, and when rarefaction reaches the membrane, the pressure outside the membrane decreases and the membrane is pushed outward. Thus the sound wave causes the membrane to vibrate.   • Inner Ear: The part of the auditory nerve connects the inner ear to the brain. The inner ea...

Respiratory system

Image
  • The organ system developed for taking in oxygen gas from the air around    the body and excreting carbon dioxide gas in the air is called respiratory system.   • The respiratory system includes the respiratory tract starting from the nose and mouth, the lungs, the rib cage, and the center in the brain that controls respiration.   • Nose: Breathing and respiratory system starts from the nose. Air is filtered and inhaled with the help of nasal hairs and sticky substances.   • Pharynx: Oesophagus and trachea begin from the pharynx.   At the top of the trachea is a lid. This lid covers the trachea as food passes into the Oesophagus. Therefore, most of the food particles do not enter the trachea. At other times the trachea is open. This allows air to pass through the throat into the trachea.   • Trachea: The initial part of the trachea is inflated by the larynx. The trachea splits into two in the chest. One lobe goes to the righ...

Kaleidoscope

Image
  • Kaleidoscope has three mirrors installed in it   • There are different colored pieces of glass that show various interesting patterns on the pieces.   • These images are formed by reflections produced in all three mirrors.   • If you look in Kaleidoscope, you will see different structures created.   • A special feature of a kaleidoscope is that the structure once formed in it cannot be easily recreated.   • The structure that appears each time is different.   • Embossed paper used to decorate room walls and designers in the textile industry use the Kaleidoscope to find different designs.

DNA Model

Image
  ·             Deoxyribonucleic acid is a type of nucleic acid found in the nucleus of every cell in the  human  body. ·             First this acid was found only in the nucleus so it was named Nucleic  acid. ·             DNA stores information about living  organisms ·             This information is responsible for the passing of traits from one generation to  another. ·             In each pair of chromosomes one chromosome comes from the father and one from the  mother. ·             Human form, color, intelligence, skill, eye color, shape, skin color are all important  factors in human anatomy. Magnet

Image
Lodestone is a type of stone found in iron or steel mines called magnetite. This material has magnetic properties.   Any object or material that creates a magnetic field and   attracts iron, cobalt, nickel is called magnet.   A magnet has two poles. North Pole and South Pole   Two like poles attract each other.   Two opposite poles attract each other.

Solar system

Image
The solar system is made up of celestial objects orbiting the Sun due to its gravity.   The Solar System consists of eight major planets, their 165 known moons, 5 dwarf planets (Plutoscat), and numerous smaller objects. Smaller objects include meteors, comets, the asteroid belt.   Planets according to their distance from the Sun are - Mercury, Venus , Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus (Herschel) and Neptune (Varuna).   Six of the eight planets have natural satellites (commonly used word in Marathi - moon) around them while rings are found around the outer planets.

Liver

Image
Human liver weighs around   1.3 to 3.0 kg. It is soft and pinkish grey in color.   It is the second largest organ and the largest gland in the human body.    This organ is located in the upper part of the abdomen below the ribs.   Liver performs various functions of the body like storing energy in the form of sugar storing vitamins, iron, salts.   Also it   process damaged red blood cells.   About 7% of body iron is stored in the liver.   Liver stores enough vitamin A to last for six months   Processes inactive hemoglobin to form bilirubin.   Liver does the job of cholesterol control in our body. The liver makes cholesterol from the ingredients in our daily diet.   The liver is also responsible for draining the body of unnecessary substances and toxins. Toxins, chemicals, unnatural substances can stress the liver, which can affect the entire body.
